2014 deadline is now passed.
What's This About?
Capstone Community Action was looking for very short videos that inspire viewers to take action to lower their heating costs and do something positive for the planet.
When people button up their coats, it keeps the cold air out and the warmth in. The same can be done with our homes and other buildings—making them cozier, saving energy dollars, and fighting climate change. When done correctly, weatherization improvements do a great job of keeping the heat where it belongs.
Contestants were invited to highlight some of the ways this waste takes place, illustrate its impact, offer innovative solutions, and motivate viewers to “button up the leaks.” Think about what, where, how, and why you button up.
Visit ButtonUpVt.org to learn more about this theme. Many of the entries are on the Button Up Vermont channel on YouTube.
All video styles (documentary, animation, etc.) were welcome. Individual and collaborative efforts are encouraged including clubs, classrooms, local energy committees, and senior centers. Multiple entries are permitted.
Videos must be two minutes or less and were judged in three categories:
Deadline: October 20, 2014 No entry fee. All ages eligible.
It's all in our Contest announcement.
